Convention Code of Conduct

All participants, speakers, sponsors and volunteers for our conference must accept the following code of conduct. The organizers will work to enforce this code during the event. We expect each participant to cooperate to ensure a healthy environment for all.

Short version 

Our convnetion is a harassment-free experience, regardless of gender, gender identity, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, weight, race or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of convention participants in any form. Expressions and images with sexual connotations are not appropriate during the event. This includes conferences, workshops, partys, Twitter and other online media. Convention attendees who violate these rules may be sanctioned or excluded from the convention without refund, at the discretion of the Convention Committee.

Less short version 

Harassment includes oral comments about sex, gender identity, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, weight, race, religion, sexual images in public places , deliberate intimidation, stalking, prosecution, photographic or video harassment, subsequent interruption of conferences and other events, improper physical contact and unwanted sexual advances.

Participants who are asked to stop harassing behavior should stop immediately.

Sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors must not use images or material with a sexual connotation. Nor should they engage in activities of a sexual nature. The booth team (including volunteers) should not use clothing, uniforms or costumes with a sexual connotation. Nor should they create a sexualized environment.

If a participant exhibits harassing behavior, the Convention Committee may take any action that they deem appropriate. This ranges from a simple warning to excluding the conference participant without refund.

If you feel harassed, if you think someone is being harassed, and more generally if you have a problem, please contact a member of the event organization immediately. The members are easily identifiable by their color escutcheon.

The members of the organization will be happy to help participants contact the security of the hotel or building where the event is taking place, or the police, to provide an escort as well as to help with any other way the victims of harassment, to guarantee their safety during the duration of the event. We appreciate your participation in the event.

We expect participants to follow these rules in the conference and workshop building, as well as during social events related to the conference.
